My therapeutic approach is an interactive one.  I will not give the standard pat question, “How does that make you feel?”  I stay present and attentive to my clients needs.  More so I am able to balance the position of power in order to avoid the power struggles that can arise in therapeutic relationships.

 

I am Client Centered and Psychodynamic and I also include the perspective of Family Systems, because where and who we come from is important to who we are now.

 

I have learned all three levels of Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have used this trauma treatment modality with great success with my clients.
